Shihang Hou (侯诗航)
I am a DPhil (PhD) candidate at the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford, supervised by Prof Margaret Stevens and Prof Abi Adams-Prassl. I will be a research associate at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg starting September 2023.
My research interests are primarily in labour economics, and the economics of education, and I am also interested in economics of the family, and decision theory.
My recent work has largely focused on the interaction between attending university and graduates' performance on the labour market. I have another branch of research exploring the complementarities between firms, occupations and worker skills in wage determination.
I am from Singapore. Besides economics, my hobbies include drawing, board games, cooking, and crime fiction.
